Should the United States Drill for Oil in Alaska’s Wilderness?

Overview: In 1980 the United States Congress established the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve (ANWR) in northern Alaska. The purpose of the reserve was to create a safe place for animals and plants where they would be undisturbed by human beings. During the years that followed, a growing demand for oil put pressure on ANWR. This Mini-Q explores the pros and cons of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in Alaska.

Glossary: refuge — a safe place · un refugio · domestic — from our own country

My claim is that the United States should because Document shows .

Extension: Build a data table from Documents B–E, predict where the vote lands, and justify from evidence. (DOK 3)

The lesson stays the lesson

It interprets the lesson rather than the layout, so a re-leveled or translated copy is still the lesson your district adopted. Same standard, same depth, with the heavy lifting done for you.

The accommodation actually reaches the student

Set once in September off the IEP on file, then applied at every assign after. Not left on paper.

Two clicks, not two hours

Modify, accommodate, or enrich. It goes up as easily as down, and every version keeps the class on one lesson. No different-looking sheet, no stigma.

Differentiate for each student. Keep the classroom together.

Students can get different supports without splitting the class into different lessons. The objective, materials, and class discussion stay shared.
